Admissions

You are welcome here.

The Living Education Center for Ecology and the Arts welcomes applications from any student in grades 7-12. Students may apply and be admitted at any time during the year. Potential students are required to visit the school (by appointment) and to participate in an interview with parents and a member of the LEC staff to answer questions and to make financial arrangements.

Fees + Finances

The school fees for the 2007-08 school year are $7200. This cost includes a $1200 registration fee, which is non-refundable and payable at registration or on the first day of classes. The $6000 tuition balance may be paid in 10 monthly payments of $600 or in 12 monthly payments of $500. Students enrolling during the year will have their tuition costs prorated at $600/month including June.

Financial Aid

Arrangements for financial aid will be handled on an individual basis and discussed at the time of personal interviews. All of those applying for financial aid must submit the following:
  • 1. LEC 2007-08 Financial Aid Request Form,
  • 2. A copy of parent's IRS 1040s for the 2005 and 2006 tax years, and
  • 3. Your student's Registration Application for 2007-08.
At the Living Education Center our commitment is balanced with that of both student and family for the success of the program. Therefore financial situations may be reevaluated on a monthly basis in order that these responsibilities be fulfilled.

Materials

LEC provides most academic materials and texts to students. Any necessary replacement due to loss or damage will be billed at our replacement cost. Additional fees may be required for supplementary materials, for specialized art supplies, for field trip transportation (gas and/or van rental), for food, or for admission costs. This is estimated to be less than $500 over the course of the year.

Diversity

The Living Education Center admits students of any race, color, national or ethnic origin to all of the rights, privileges, programs and activities generally accorded or made available to students at the school. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin in administration of our admission or educational policies, scholarships and other school-administered programs.
